About Hardware, IoT & Devices

Hardware rarely works alone. A sensor needs a hub, a hub needs an app, and an app needs a cloud service to talk to. This category sits at the centre of that ring, and each subcategory marks a different orbit: the devices people hold, the ones that run a home, the platforms that connect fleets of them, and the machines that move on their own.

Every product here has one main category, chosen by the founder at submission and included free. Browse the whole ring or step into a single orbit, then use the filters to narrow the list. Listings appear newest first, and you can sort by community votes instead. Votes can never be bought, so the order reflects what visitors actually back. When you compare products, look at what each one connects to before you look at the casing.

Software-only tools belong in other categories. Here, the product has a physical body, or it exists to manage products that do.

Hardware, IoT & Devices: questions answered

What belongs in Hardware, IoT & Devices?
Products with a physical form, plus the platforms built to manage connected devices. That covers gadgets, smart home equipment, IoT tooling and robots. A pure software app with no hardware link usually fits better in another category.
How do I choose between the subcategories?
Pick the one that describes what your customer does with the product. A device someone carries or wears is a consumer gadget. If it controls a house, it is smart home. If it manages many devices remotely, choose IoT platforms. If it moves or acts independently, choose robotics.
How do I get my product listed here?
Go to /submit and paste your website address. An AI drafts the profile from that site, and you check and edit every field before anything goes live. You choose one main category at that point, and it is included free.
Can a product appear in more than one subcategory?
Each listing has one main category, included free. A paid upgrade adds up to 3 more categories for $5. That suits products that genuinely straddle two areas, such as a robot vacuum that also acts as a smart home hub.
What should I compare when looking at connected devices?
Check which ecosystems and integrations a product supports, how it connects, and what happens to its features if the vendor's cloud service is unavailable. Also look at how updates are delivered and whether the device works with the apps and hubs you already use.
